My Lord’s Prayer

 In Liturgical Resources

Gracious Creator, who surrounds us everywhere, may we hold your name sacred in our lives and in our speech. May YOUR designs for this planet come into being.

Please supply the needs (but probably not the desires) of our bodies for sustenance, well being, health and function to YOUR glory; and forgive our selfish grabbing for persons and “stuff” to equip our own paths, as we forgive that behavior in others.

For this kingdom in which we drive or walk or fly is YOURS (not ours). The control only appears to be ours (even as we louse it up beyond recognition) and the consequences we must learn to bear.

May we learn to seek YOUR glory in all we say and do, FOREVER and ALWAYS. And may ALL the people of God say together with one voice SALAAM.
